\u201cWe can have no tranquility, therefore, until we attain the persuasion that our life is sufficiently guarded, because it is protected by his omnipotent power. The interrogation, too, shows how highly David esteemed the Divine protection, as he thus boldly exults against all his enemies and dangers. Nor assuredly do we ascribe due homage to God, unless, trusting to his promised aid, we dare to boast of the certainty of our safety. Weighing, as it were, in scales the whole power of earth and hell, David accounts it all lighter than a feather, and considers God alone as far outweighing the whole.\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe must mark well this comparison, What are all creatures to God? Moreover, we must extend this confidence still farther, in order to banish all fears from our consciences, like Paul, who, when speaking of his eternal salvation, boldly exclaims, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Looking back over the past year, God has kept us and our families alive from numerous accidents. Also, God faithfully helped us not to abandon our faith in God. The new year of 2018 has come to us. What is your goal in 2018? As David confessed, I hope that you set your only goal as ‘Desiring more of God’. David was also preparing his heart for the coming trials. God’s children, as aliens of the world, cannot avoid the temptations of their own sins until the day of their death. But God will protect to the end of the world those who have faith confessing the LORD is the light, the salvation, and the power of life. In 2018 with this hope in God, let’s voluntarily take one’s cross, and gladly win over this year. Let us glorify God in 2018.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
